Terms and conditions

1. About us
TRE Property Compliance is a trading name of TRE Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). You can contact us at tregroupltd@gmail.com or 07306 580540.
2. What we do
We arrange landlord safety certificates, including gas safety certificates, electrical installation condition reports (EICRs) and energy performance certificates (EPCs). The inspections are carried out by independent engineers and assessors who hold the required registrations (Gas Safe, NICEIC or NAPIT, or an accredited EPC scheme) and their own insurance. The engineer is responsible for the inspection and the certificate they issue. We are responsible for arranging the work with care and passing on your certificate.
3. Booking and prices
- Prices are shown on our website and confirmed in writing before we book. We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- Payment is taken in full before the visit is booked.
- Prices assume standard access and the property details you give us. If the property differs significantly (for example more appliances or circuits than stated), we will tell you the revised price before any extra work is done.
4. Access
You are responsible for making sure the engineer can get into the property at the agreed time, including arranging tenant access or providing keys. Please tell us about any access restrictions or safety concerns before the visit.
5. Cancellations and missed visits
- You can cancel or rearrange free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or the engineer cannot get in at the agreed time, a charge of £35 applies to cover the engineer's wasted visit.
- If you are a consumer (booking as an individual, not for a business), you have a right to cancel within 14 days of booking. If you ask us to arrange the visit within those 14 days and the work is completed, you will pay for the service provided.
6. If an inspection finds a problem
If a certificate cannot be issued, or a report is unsatisfactory, we will send you the engineer's findings and a quote for any repair work. Repair work is a separate service and is only carried out once you approve the quote. If a dangerous fault is found, the engineer may need to make the appliance or circuit safe straight away, as required by their regulations.
7. Renewal reminders
We will try to remind you before your certificates are due for renewal. Reminders are a courtesy, and you remain responsible as the landlord for keeping your certificates in date.
8. Our responsibility to you
We will arrange the work with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as tenant access problems or engineer illness, but we will keep you informed and rebook as quickly as we can. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, email tregroupltd@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
